Temps are still up and I got the little countdown stat on FF. I'm going to try and hold out until the recommended test day (Thurs, 18DPO). Oh, God, how I hope this is it! But I'm also trying to stay calm because there's still a chance (and a big one) that I won't get my BFP.

Drink: I was 22 (other than sips of wine or beer my parents let me try so I could see how bad they taste lol). I actually wasn't into drinking but I just started going out with my now DH and he wanted to go out for a drink after dinner once. I can't even remember what it was lol. I rarely drink because it takes 5 or 6 to get a buzz and that's just too expensive. I find it odd that I've never been a drinker and yet my tolerance is really high. Fun fact: I've only been drunk twice.

ETA: when I was drunk, I was just tipsy, never blackout drunk or stumbling or anything lol and that was after 8 drinks.

QOTW: I think I was 18 the first time I tried alcohol (other than sips of beer or wine at family things). We had Arbor Mist and Heineken. Yuck.

I am in my 2ww after my iui which was Wednesday. It's torture. Test day is 4.17.

I drank like freshman year of high school for the first time. A Budweiser! Lol

I'm on CD5 of what I really, really hope will be an unmedicated IUI cycle. That's the plan, provided stupid work stuff doesn't mess with the schedule. I'm very impatiently waiting for my midcycle follie scan appointment. QOTW: I'd previously had sips of beer, wine coolers, wine, etc., but my first drinking experience was vodka & cranberry juice with friends in my dorm room in college when I was 20.

I feel bad about not commenting on anyone's posts lately... i haven't been on the bump in a few days. I just kind of mentally checked out for the weekend. On thursday I started spotting, so I was pretty positive AF was about to show even though I had no other symptoms. I tested Friday morning just to be safe and it was a BFN and I fully started in the afternoon that day. So IUI #4 was a definite bust. Starting the process for IUI #5 this week : (

QOTW: The first time I got drunk was when I was at a friends house and we stole their parents Southern Comfort! Ugh it makes me sick to think about! so nasty

@chicory‌ looks like we will be cycle buddies! I am also on CD5 of an unmedicated IUI cycle. Or at least that's the hope. We had to cancel plans for our first IUI last month. Here's hoping we can avoid any performance anxiety this time and everything goes as planned.
QOTW: I think I was about 18 when i had my first drink. It was a Mike's Hard Lemonade when I was camping with my big sis. Good times.

AFM I have officially  moved on to a clomid/IUI cycle.  I am having very  mixed emotions about it.  I was holding out a lot of hope that we would get lucky the cycle of our HSG...but no luck for us.  Last week had a couple very rough days for H and I.  Admitting that this is just not going to happen naturally for us has been hard.  On the other hand we are very ready to move forward so we are excited to start a treatment cycle.  I had my CD 3 ultrasound this morning and everything looked good so I took my first Clomid pill this evening. 

QOTW: The first time I got drunk was a trip to Spain with my Spanish club.  My friends and I thought it was awesome that you could buy alcohol when you were 18 ( we were all just barely 18).  We bought a bottle of this terrible sour apple liquor and drank it in our hotel room.  We were drunk running around the halls of the hotel (I'm not sure how we didn't get kicked out).  The night ended with me holding my friends hair while she hugged the toilet.  It was great night that we still love to reminisce about today

I quit taking bc last Tuesday and started injections of Gonal Friday night. I finally started my period yesterday. I found it odd that I started injections before my period but that's what my Dr told me to do. I go in the morning for an us. I really hope I have some follie growth. This is our last medicated cycle before we move on to IVF, so I really hope it works.


My first real drinking experience was at 17 with strawberry hill (boones farm) I think I drank the whole bottle and I got drunk. I think I had a good night though. 18 was the legal drinking age when I was growing up.

I'm in the dreaded 2ww. I've got a moderate case of OHSS so I've been in bed the last couple days. If it's not better by tomorrow, I'm supposed to call the doctor so they can do an ultrasound & start monitoring. I look like I'm pregnant, have extreme abdominal pain, and have got serious digestion issues. At first I thought it was just the meds, but then I got more symptoms, and called the doctor. This is not fun!

Boones. Don't judge.

Sooo.. I'm off the bench and finished my 5mg of Femara day 3-7 this past week and started my Estrace 2mg last night.  U/S on Thursday to see how my follies grew. 

QOTW: A strawberry daiquiri on my 21st birthday and I didn't even finish it.

2. My wife and I started the TTC process in July 2013. My first IUI was August 2013.

3. I have endometriosis and also had a septum in my uterus. Both were fixed in November 2013. My RE gave us 6-12 months before needing to be concerned about the endo again. We are going on month 5 now.

4. This will hopefully be IUI #5. I am currently on day 4 of Gonal-F, 150 iu so far. As long as I don't over respond, we should be looking at our IUI being in about a week.
ETA: I will be using Endometrin suppositories with this cycle as well. I have never had a progesterone supporter cycle.

QOTW: Apparently my first drink wasn't memorable because I truly don't remember it. I'm not a huge drinker and never have been, so I know it isn't because I blacked out.

Confession: a few years ago my friends and I were having "porch therapy" and my friend pulled out 2 bottles of mad dog and we passed it around. I haven't had it in 20 years. OMG we really must have not had any taste buds in high school. I also didn't know it came in so many flavors.

I'm late to the party as well!  Today is CD8.  I'll start doing OPKs tomorrow.  I have my follow-up appointment for after my lap on Thursday (CD11).  We're on our own this month, so fingers crossed.  I'm hoping I can actually get a + OPK.  I may have had 1, maybe 2 positive OPKs...but I haven't used them every month tho either.

QOTW - I think it was wine coolers when I was about 16.  Either that or a margarita at chili's when I was 16.

Hi!  Hugs to all that need them and fingers crossed for those in 2WW!

IUI#2 was a big fail.  I really think I ovulated before the trigger based off temps but nurse dismissed and said temps are unreliable.  I was only on 5mg letrozole so it wasn't as though the meds messed with my temps.  I am going to have yet another discussion with my RE that my surges are very very short and if they can't understand/adjust to that then I need to find someone who can.

I had beer at a very young age at a tailgate...my family wanted me to try it b/c they knew I wouldnt like the taste.  They were right!

I am in the 2 ww from IVF #1.  I've asked my husband to hide the pee sticks from me.  I plan to test on Saturday which will be 13 days past ER. 

On the plus side, this combination of endometrin and estrace has made me a champion sleeper.  I sleep like the dead...and I like it. 

QOTW: This is fun!!!  I had mudslides at a friend's house when her parents went away for the weekend. Around the same time, I had a Zima at another friend's graduation.  I'm not sure which came first.

QOTW:  My cousin and I got into some homemade wine one night when we were 14-15 and left home alone for a sleepover at her house.  We were drunk as skunks.  My Aunt taught us a nice lesson by waking us up at 6:30 and dragging us to a greasy spoon diner and ordering us omelets the next morning.  I cannot eat eggs to this day.

Had IUI# 5 yesterday. So worried that we did it too late and missed the egg. I made husband take away my thermometers so I wont worry and obsess about temps. Blood test April 21st. This is also my first round with prometrium, so that should be interesting. 

QOTW: A friend of mine who was a year older (15 or 16) and already in high school came a picked me up at jr. high with a wine cooler.

Not too much to update. Our psych eval last week went well. We are going thursday to get our forms notarized so that I can mail them back to the clinic. Other than that I am 3 DPO for our last break cycle and just waiting on CD 1 to start estrace. I should start meds in about 12 days and transfer sound be in about 29 days.

QOTW: My first alcoholic drink was probably a fuzzy navel for new years when I was in my early teens. I remember my parents letting us have one dring (I am sure it was heavy on the OJ and light on the peach schnaps). My first "legal' drink was a mudslide at lunch with my friends on my 21st birthday. I was one of the first to turn 21 so we couldn't really go out bar hopping.

I'm currently on my last day of my first round of clomid. So far so good. The only side effect is a slight headache. I have my monitoring appointment on Saturday and hopefully my first IUI shortly after.

QOTW: I had some slips of beer from my dad and uncles when I was a kid. My first real drink I was 15 or 16. We were hanging out in an abandoned half constructed mall and someone was passing around a 40oz bottle of Old English malt liquor.

I ovulated for the first time in almost 5 months. And I'm spotting today. ::does extreme happy dance because my body is finally doing what it's supposed to do::

I've never been so, so very excited to be spotting.

I'm making an appointment with a new gyno office, that specializes in infertility. They have REs on staff, and although it's a bit of a drive, I think it's going to be worth it to be there in the end.

Preliminary blood work is consistent with PCOS. I'll get the official DX from the gyno.

AFM, I'm 3dpiui (pt2) and just praying.  Beta is scheduled for 4/18, which happens to be Good Friday.  At least I'll have the day to digest the news, whatever it may be.

QOTW: I was in grade 9 and I felt so cool that my brother let me hang out when he threw a party at our house (he's 2 years older).  He fed me rum and coke, I got really sick and hungover and to this day, even the smell of rum and coke can turn my stomach!
