GTKY: If you had $500 to spend frivolously, what would you do?

Forget bills and treatments, what fun thing would you do or buy with a little extra in your pocket?

I would drive down to San Diego and surprise my family with a visit! (Gas to and from alone would be about $300 LOL)

I disagree. Redecorating is fun! Although, I concur that a vacation is way better. Experiences > material things.

Something really fun and relaxing with DH - weekend getaway?  Dinner and a Broadway show?  I have no idea.  Or furniture, since we're moving soon and don't own our current couch...

A vacation would be great, but right now I really want to buy an outdoor dining set and pray spring would come with it!

I'd probably buy a piece of furniture. We moved into a much larger house almost two years ago and there is still a living room with absolutely no furniture in it (we have a great room too).

Maybe a weekend getaway. Maybe some new decor for the house. I asked my DH what he thought I'd spend it on and he said "clothes and books". That's probably pretty close.

A weekend in Milwaukee.  I was working there when DH and I met and started long distance dating...so I think it would be cute to relive a date or two of the beginning of our relationship.  The Miller Brewery Tour and the Boat tour through Milwaukee Architecture on lake Michigan and the river are two dates we could easily redo in one day and then spend the night at the casino and have a great hotel stay and amazing dinner somewhere.

Well dh found a list when we started dating on "must do" things in mwk and those two were ones that we both agreed sounded cool. I recommend the boat tour as I love being on the water. Miller, eh? It was ok, but dh and I had tons of running jokes that came from that date so its more personal memories than the event itself. KWIM? Honestly any chance in any place there is for a boat tour, I'd do it. Yet weve never done Chicago ... and we grew up and live here now.

I live in Orlando but I can vouch for the Chicago architecture bout tour which is really nice! Don't know how it compares to Milwaukee though.

On a related note, for anyone in the central florida area the winter park boat tour is really nice. It's downtown and goes out on the lake by Rollins college and all the nice homes out there.

@NariaDreaming‌ where is that? It looks very familiar... I would get a mani pedi, a haircut/color, and do a whole lotta shopping! I'm not usually big on any of those things but lately, I could really use some pampering/ retail therapy!

I would buy decorations for my house.  We've been here for almost a year and there is not one thing on the walls.  Some of the rooms still have curtains hung with push pins.  We also don't have barstools for the bar or anything on the front porch so if there was enough left over I would get that too.

This is an awesome question! I think I would buy patio furniture and a new grill. In MN the winters are so long that as soon as it starts warming up all I want to do is be on our deck.

I would probably buy a nice dining table or a really nice Shabbat set.
