So I put DS in his room for a little quiet time while I put the baby down for nap this afternoon. Sometimes he falls asleep, mostly he doesn't but at least he can be quiet for a little bit. I come in 20 minutes later to discover that he has pooped in his little potty. But instead of calling for me like he is supposed to, he took it out in smeared it EVERYWHERE. All over our newly painted walls, his door, the floor, even some smashes into his rug. I'm sooo livid right now!!
I know he is just a kid, but I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing. Ughhhh. Did I mention that we are also in the middle of trying to sell our house & I have to keep it clean 24/7?! And now his room smells like one giant shit.
So sorry! That has got to be one of the very last things you wanted to do while trying to sell your house. I hope you got it cleaned up ok. I see wine in your future!
Haha that's exactly what my H said. Apparently his brother was nicknamed "poop-casso" for this very thing (& he went on to become a very successful artist so maybe he's just expressing himself?)
I know, it would be hilarious if it happened to someone else. It's ok.. Laugh at my expense! On a bright note, I just got a giant box of fancy cookies from my H for our anniversary. That helps.
Oh god. I've heard this is pretty common at that age. A bunch of people in my mommy group were just talking about it...I almost lost it when they were talking about it.
I'm so so sorry this happened to you!!! And sheesh, what timing.
Oh wow I'm so sorry. You fill that wine glass up to the top tonight.
I think this is a boy thing. A few of my male cousins went through this and my nephew. He went through a phase where he would poop in the tub & smear it all around & it would dissolve in the water. He even threw it across the bathroom on to the wall once. (Sis let him play alone in there & she could see him from the living room). She threw away all his bath toys on numerous occasions because they had soaked in poopy water. **vomit**
@LokiLahve sadly I don't think it's a boy thing. Just a toddler thing. . Only because I know of my IRL friends that have been through this it's been boys and girls.
There is only one thing for certain. A quiet toddler is always a bad thing....no matter what gender!!! Lol

So true. And they love to get in trouble while you're dealing with baby.. It's such a jealousy thing.
Re: What a shitty day (a literal vent)
Sorry you have to deal with that, and clean it up!
This is exactly why I'm NOT looking forward to toddler years.
Totally sorry this happened: (
I remember as a kid my little brother would do that all the time. It was awful!
I'm a FTM so I don't know, but is the poo smearing thing mostly a boy problem?
