I had that reaction too the first time I read something on her GOOP website. But it is a repeated mind set with her. She is just so far removed from how 98% of America lives. She can't even begin to comprehend what we are like and how our lives are. To continually spout off bullshit like this makes me angry.
She says that she works 14 hour days for two weeks (let's assume she is working weekends too, so that is 196 hours) and then she's off the other 50 weeks of the year (since she says she tries to do just one movie a year). To say that that is so much harder than the rest of America who works at least 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year (2,080 hours) makes me want to slap her across the face. I challenge her to work this easy office job for one full month. Then tell me how easy my life is.

She named her kids Apple and Moses. Anything that spouts from her mouth shouldn't be a surprise. Small mind, small world. Now pardon me while I figure out what to do with all of my free time in the morning.
"Conscious Uncoupling". Go Fuck Yourself. Also? I have a friend who's been a script supervisor on several features and she made the point that the CREW works a 14 hours day; the talent rolls in 3 hours later, gets hair and makeup for an hour then goes to their trailer til their scene is set.
Conscious uncoupling is the most ridiculous phrase I've ever heard to describe divorce. Does anyone ever really wake up one morning and say to herself, "oops, I'm not married anymore I guess?!" Fuck no. All uncoupling is conscious. That's like saying I'll take the sweet sugar for my coffee or I'm going to swim in the wet part of the ocean. FFS.
