My FIL has, not once but twice now,

grabbed my baby belly fat and said "Eh, almost there, not quite yet though". The first time it was just MIL, him and myself.  The second time it was in front of about 7 people at a recent family get together.

WTF is wrong with people?  I am just so shocked when it happens I can't even say anything because it catches me so offguard.  Neither time was DH present at the moment and when I tell him, I actually feel bad for him because he gets so embarrased.

I would knock him on his ass.  That is so uncalled for.  I would have grabbed his hand and told him to keep his hands off of me.

Not only grabbed, but jiggled up and down.  Now I am prepping myself for the next time he does it.  I kinda like your suggestion, a nice ball twap.

Not appropriate and rude on so many levels, your DH needs to address this with him and I'd av oid contact with him in the meantime.

Wow! That is beyond rude.... not to mention violating. I won't even let DH touch my baby flab right now.

If it makes you feel any better my FIL is just as un PC. When I was pregnant I used to go float in IL's above ground pool because it helped with the swelling. When I would get out of the pool FIL would stand there and beep while I climbed down the latter (simulating a truck backing up). Deuche bag!

I know your husband wasn't there but can he still say something to your FIL?  There has to be more that he can do besides just be embarassed.

Holy crap! I would slap that jackazz! Do people not have personal space after a certian age? My MIL would call DH and not ask how I was feeling, but ask how much I weighed!!!!
