I am 12 weeks 3 days and the u/s tech said she thinks I'm having a girl. (I have to see a specialist due to maternal age.) Anyone find out this early and have it change? I am excited either way, (and DH and I went in to this thinking we would have another girl!), but wondering if anyone has been told something different from an early u/s and an anatomy scan?
My doc said that some people DO want to know as soon as possible, but that it's not really until the 20th week that the U/S techs can tell with any sort of certainty.

As others said, its way too early. All babies look the same at that stage so you have to wait. 16 weeks is the absolute earliest to get an accurate view. I wouldn't go painting the walls pink just yet!
After 6 losses, we are so happy to have our rainbow baby!
Thanks to all for the comments. I was trying to convince DH that we don't need to share this news with everyone yet, but he disagrees. I'll be happy to show him that it's definitely too early!
Re: Ultrasound this morning
That being said, 12 weeks is way too early for anything except a 50/50 shot of being correct.
