Holding food in mouth

My DD recently started holding chicken or any texture she is not comfortable swallowing. I have been doing a combo of BLW & chunkier purees so this is a recent thing. She will hold it in her mouth for like 20min or so. I have to help her by removing some of it from her mouth.

She used to love pieces of chicken now she takes it but doesnt swallow. Anything similar happen to your baby?

    DS will keep watermelon in his mouth for a long time.

    Yes, my kiddo has been hoarding food in his mouth and I'll find it around the house later.

    My LO loves to hold food in her mouth. I try to keep an eye on her when she is eating and make sure she is swallowing. It seems to happen more when she's distracted while I'm feeding her. I will give her her water bottle and that seems to trigger her to swallow most of the time.
