IVF injections.

Hey ladies!!! I'm in my first cycle of IVF! I started lupron Wednesday and added gonal f tonight. Next week I'll also be injecting menapur. I was wondering what kind of advise you could give what side effects to expect so forth. As of today (Day 3) I'm fine! But I know that stimulation is just beginning. I am so proud of myself because...I was sooooooo afraid of needles before this process. I was a total wimp! But a anything you all can offer would greatly help. :)
Diagnosed w/PCOS Feb 2011 Married June 2011 TTC since 2011 DH-SA normal 2012 & 2014 Several rounds of clomid and femera BFN HSG test-Feb. 2013 bilateral tubal obstruction...I was told IVF was my best option 
March 2014-IVF#1-cancelled 
April 2014 Surgery 
July  2014 - IVF #2- cancelled  
January 2015 IVF#3- BFP

    The needles aren't that bad at all, but it did seem like a big deal in the beginning. You may experience a few side effects or you may not... Let's hope you land on the latter side. Exhaustion, bloat, gas, weight gain, headaches, nausea, moodiness... Things that can be expected (you may only experience 1 or you may get them all. Hopefully all goes well with your cycle.

    On mobile without paragraphs...wanted to add a side note... Take a sec to intro/re-intro and maybe do a sig so we can get to know you and keep up with your progress. This is a great support community, but you get out what you put in. Good luck

    I actually had more side effects with Clomid than the injectables.

    The only side effect I had with clomid is hot flashes. And right now with the injections I'm just really tired.

    Hi there.

    I had nausea with all of it...,but I do with everything IF related. Also, I got a nasty, huge, itchy welt from menopur.... Totally normal I've heard; so I took a benedryl about 30mins before injection to help....it gave some relief.

    A few minor headaches in the middle of injections and then sore ovaries right before ER ecaude they were big.

    ***BFP and Loss Mentioned in Siggy***

    Me: 39 (PCOS)
    DH: 47 (slightly low volume...considered MFI)
    TTC since 11/2012
    10/2013:  IUI#1 BFN - 50mg clomid, two .75mg shots of Bravelle, ovidril trigger...1 follicle
    11/14/13: IUI#2 BFN - 50mg clomid, two .75 mg shots of Bravelle, ovidrill trigger..2 follicles

    IVF #1 w/ICSI:  ER 3/12/14; ET 3/17/14:  BFP!!!  Beta #1 3/31/14=1540;  Beta #2 4/2/14 =2551

    Twin A became an angel on 4/30/14 (8w6d)

    Twin B became an angel on 5/21/14 (11w6d)

    D&C 5/23/14

    FET#1 - 9/2/14 - BFP!!! Beta #1 (9/15): 926.  Beta #2 (9/17): 1946.

    MC -9/20/14
    FET#2 - 4/20/15 - BFP!!! Beta #1 (5/4): 1277.  Beta #2 (5/6): 2817.  US#5 -153 heartbeat.

    Hi there! I'm on day 5 of stims for my first IVF with Gonal F and Menopur (so far). I feel like I've had a mild headache and a little bloating, but I managed to paint a room today! I'll take it! Good luck!

    I am one of those over thinkers... And I know I should be grateful. But I've had no side effects. The first 2 days I was really tired and I have tingling sensations about 5-10 mins after. But that is it. And in my crazy mind I feel like if I'm not having side effects the drugs aren't working. I know it is crazy to think that.... Today will be day 5 (day 3 with gonal-f) I haven't started menopur yet.
