How are all the newborn moms doing? I must say that it has gotten a little better just in the last few days. There are less tears and more sleeping at night.
Pretty good here, she sleeps a lot and I have a hard time waking her up to eat but she's doing good. I feel good, apparently I can function with hardly any sleep lol
I was expecting a rough first week... today I'm starting to feel like the worst of it is over... I'm mostly "healed" (to the point I can walk and sit reasonably well!), he's much happier and alert, and my boobs are finally bearable.?
I warned my husband, if it keeps getting better at the rate it is, I'm going to want a whole HERD of kids! ?
I'm doing ok. The nights where DS sleeps for 3 hours at a time are heaven, and I can function during the day. My mom is here helping, and while I appreciate the gesture, I wish I would have listened to my gut and not agreed to have her come out for two weeks. I really just want time to be with DS and figure him out without someone around 24/7 asking a billion questions. It's not her fault, but frustration combined with no sleep and hormones means I'm not being the nicest *sigh* Only a week more to go til she's gone... and then MIL and DH's grandmother arrive.... *sigh*
Just wanted to say congrats to you all!!! I haven't been around much since P was born.
We are doing well too. She is a good baby. The first few weeks were surprisinly easy for us. Last night not so much.... Thank gosh for my MIL she saved me this morning!!!
Pretty good - aside from no sleep and for some reason I can't seem to sleep at all during the day despite trying. Breastfeeding is getting easier already and we've already gained back to birth weight plus some!
It's been one week since we've been home from the hospital. We are definitely learning something new everyday. Survived a mini nursing strike but I *think* we are getting back on track, she has also passed her birth weight and gained half a pound which is great! DH goes back to work on Monday, so I will be on my own...just a bit nervous about that : )
ok--she's definitely staying more awake during the day than night. However, i had some initial problems BF-ing (flat nipples), and now I've got her addicted to the nipple shield, which I guess is a cardinal nursing sin! I'll have to undo that. My DH also returns to work Monday, and my parents have flown back home, so I will be on my own all day.
