grrrrrrrrr...vent
Sorry this is kinda long. So, I own a heating and cooling company with my father and people call me all the time asking for favors. FINE. I get a call today from a friend of mine basically begging me to send one of my technicians to his "best friend's" house because she has no heat and her DH tried to fix the furnace and it's in a million pieces...blah blah blah blah.
It's Christmas time and everything, so I sent a guy over and he spends an hour getting the thing back together enough so he can make a diagnosis. He finds the issue,gives her the price upfront and tells her he would need to run to the supply house for the parts which is 35 minutes away. She cries about it, I give her 15% off after my friend nags me for ten minutes about it. He leaves drives to the supply house, gets the part, drives back.
She says actually I don't want to do it, my husband is going to fix it now. Sooooo I just paid a guy to drive around and put a furnace back together for nothing. I can't wait til her DH screws it up again and this biitch calls back in. Everytime I do something nice, it bites me in the ass.

Tell me about it! I'd charge her for the gas. Yeah I say that but we don't LOL. This happens all the time. Our family owns a termite/PC company. We get people like that all the time
"can't you just spray something" Yeah The chemical i'll spray only cost me an arm and a leg AND i have to pay a technician to do it AND take time out of his day when I could send him on a job that I would actually be making some money on. I feel ya!
next time tell her your employees are too busy. OR send her an invoice.
That's it...she's getting a bill.
