diaper area bleeding sore?

Ds has a sore about the size of a pencil top eraser circumference on his bottom. I showed the pedi last week and she thought it was part of the eczema rash. She told me to put ointment on it and then cover it with triple paste at every change.

It has started to bleed when we wipe and looks like it is a little deeper into the skin.. I have a call in to the doctor.

Have any of you experienced something like this? What did u do for it?

Yikes, I'm thinking that needs an antibiotic cream for sure. Let us know what the pedi says!

Thanks so much ladies!!! It does get worse when we wipe for sure. I will update after talking to his doctor.

we had something similar. it started off as a big, very red diaper rash and quickly got bumpy and then peeled and was raw. pedi gave us nystantin (yeast infection cream) and told us to get triple paste. we ended up changing her formula and it finally went away because pedi thought it also could have been an allergic reaction.

we stopped using wipes and instead used a washcloth with warm water to dab the area during changes. we also let her air out for 10-15 mins after doing that to make sure it was really dry before putting the diaper back on.

My mom made me her "magic butt cream" for diaper rashes when my little man got a bad diaper rash and it cleared up in a matter of days.
It was: Lotrimin, Mylanta, and Desitin. The Mylanta soothes, the Lotrimin takes care of any yeast or fungus, and the Desitin protects.

This is my magic cream except I use A&D instead of Desitin.

@slwprincess‌ it's awesome stuff, my mom learned about it from coworkers after she started working L&D (she's a nurse).
