We had two 3-day embryos transferred this afternoon. Apparently they were 8 and 7 cell and doing really good (too young to grade according to the RE). Our third was doing something weird, which could have been bad timing of the check or a sign that something was wrong- they will see if it still grows and looks healthy and can be frozen. They did the 3-day because we had so few embryos and there was no benefit in growing them out longer to see which were the best, since they could already tell which two of the three were the best.
The RE had trouble getting the catheter in and had to try at least three times (trying different types) which was pretty awful, since I have a lot of pain with anything involving my cervix. There was some mention about a "V" in my cervix? I'm not entirely sure, since I was in pretty severe pain. He did apologize for causing me the pain and assured me he had placed them perfectly (high up in the uterus). I'm so glad I had taken the Valium and Extra-Strength Tylenol before.
Our clinic has also done away with the bed/couch rest, so that was less stress on me, though I took a nap when I got home to try and deal with the residual cramping.
I'm feeling very optimistic, even though it seemed like we had several set-backs.
