S/O Furniture

We just bought a new house, an it has mint green carpet. Unfortunately it's not in the budget to change it right now. We have this dark grey couch but not much else. Any ideas on what to do to help bring the room into this decade?

That's the seller's furniture, and the pink walls are no longer. I'm painting them a warm white.

What's under the carpet?  If it's hardwood and in somewhat decent condition, I would just tear it up.  Other than that....yikes mint green....good luck with that...

Could you dye the carpet? My parents' old house had that same carpet and the previous owners dyed it. Looked good. No idea how much it costs.

Oh!  You know, it's not as bad in your photo as I was picturing it haha.  But I agree....maybe larger, darker pieces will help 'neutralize' it a little?
