Dumb question about pillow pets

I recently let dd start sleeping with her pillow pet. She loves it and every night makes sure it's in just the right position and flips out if it's not perfect. The problem is that it makes her super sweaty! She wakes up from naps and in the morning and her head is soaked!! Is this common with pillow pets? I'm thinking there's no way I'm going to be able to take it away without a fight! Lol

Yeah, they are fleece! I am sweating just thinking about laying on fleece. Z has a penguin one. She sleeps on it all the time & the same thing happens.

Maybe you could make a "dress" (a pillowcase) for the PP?
