Ohhhhh the fitness check-in. I must apologize for not posting this the previous two weeks - I was on a brain vacation. It consisted of a mainline mixture of coffee and booze. Anyhow, how are things on the fitness train?
Any progress toward goals?
Any advice?
Any before and after pics (I'm a sucker for those, I love them but completely understand if you don't)?
On another note, I don't want anyone to feel DIScouraged by this thread. So what if you haven't lost any at all or if you haven't even tried. We all have a million things going on, some more than others, and I realize this isn't at the top of everyone's to-do list. We are all amazing mothers and I want this to be a place for encouragement (this thread, not D13 - we all know that's not happening

). Party on!!
Re: Fitness check-in
No really though, my goal today is to get to the gym and 1)register Baby Boots so he can use the childcare while I workout and 2)fill out a personal trainer interest form.

Haven't lost a single pound though, so clearly need to work on the diet portion of things!
Goals this week: find some new recipes and make sure to plan ahead
@teacupkat don't feel bad for going to the gym. You need to do things for yourself and it's making you healthier so you can live a long life being there for your family for many years !
Oh and stop looking at other peoples photos. Your only hurting yourself and looking at them are making you feel like a failure daily. I make small goals that are obtainable over a short period and they don't all revolve around weightloss and numbers .
Now to be fair, my pre-pregnancy weight was at least 10 pounds more than where I should be (the result of miscarriage and fertility treatment related stress) but STILL.

This week I've went for 2 long walks ( about 2 hours each - I was drenched with sweat
ETA: stupid mobile!!!!
Cont... And went to a yoga conditioning class. I got cleared for exercise yesterday and I'm really excited to use my mat leave to spend time with LO and get into great shape!
My current weightloss goal is to lose my last 11 lbs before Cillian's christening in May, so I have 7 weeks.
This week I'm going to go to 2 mom and baby fitness classes, register back at the gym, and go for at least 2 walks (hopefully outside, but if not than at the mall). Also no after-dinner snacking except on my cheat day!!!
Glad to join you guys!
** insert pic of my fat ass sitting on the couch eating cheese doodles with DS lounging next to me covered in orange powder****
I have, however, started eating a better diet. (Except AF returned this week and I had fast food twice for lunch). And have finally started losing some more weight. I have 10 more pounds before I hit pre-preg weight. But have lots more weight to lose!
I'm sure once the snow melts and it starts warming up I will start to take DS out for walks.
My goal is not to buy the Ben & Jerry's salted caramel core ice cream!
It's supposed to be 81 here today so we will probably go for a long walk this morning before the Mosquitos come out

I tried on my prepregnancy jeans, sadly no luck yet
I've been doing better with my eating but not perfect. Biggest accomplishment, yesterday at Target instead of buying a bag if Reese's eggs I bought one single egg...lol
I know it's only been 3 months, but it still sucks. My strength and agility is returning, I just can't believe the weight is hanging on so strong. I really am not over eating. I write down my calories and I avg 1850/1950 a day, which with breast feeding I can't imagine is too crazy.
My favorite bikram studio is opening a studio closer to me, so I may start going. Hopefully that will also help. Has anyone heard of that doing anything to breast milk supply?
Plus I'll add a non-weight loss accomplishment, I was able to get off Zoloft which I was taking for PPD and I have been feeling great!
I'm still wearing some maternity pants, which I find depressing. I have had to buy a couple pairs of fat pants too. Oh well, at least they button.
A big shout out to MIL because since she tried to tempt me with donuts, I've been great about avoiding sweets!
I've been making healthy soups and salads and when I have a "bad" meal, its rarely a "horrible" meal. So I've been doing pretty well with nutrition.
Exercise could use some work, but I've been erring on the side of caution so I don't burnout. I did my first yoga session a couple days ago since first tri and I am still sore! Hope to make yoga a weekly habit at least.
The best part: I have been less exhausted (relatively) and am down to 170 lbs!! That is about 6 lbs lost the past 2-3 weeks and 17 lbs away from my goal (prepregnancy weight!) Its giving me the motivation to keep it up!
