May I ask a dumb question?

DD has long crazy hair. It gets so knotted and tangled up when she sleeps. My mom found Suave kids detangler and its tear free. Well I just read on the back not to use on infants or toddlers. so any tips on how I can get the tangles out without feeling like I'm ripping her hair out of her scalp? Or would you just use the spray?

I would probably just use it, but doesn't someone make kid detangler? My mom used to use J&J on me...

we've used the same since our girls were about 2.

I would use it. But if your concerned, just make your own in a spray bottle with conditioner and water. Shake before every use.

I am on mobile so can't see how old your DD is but I have used that on DD's hair since she was about 3.

Have you tried some conditioner on the ends?

We detangle and brush at night then braid. No tangles in the morning, I have always used adult detangler on DD of course now her hair is almost to her butt.

We use the suave detangler too. But conditioning the ends of her hair helped a lot too.

Is her hair always kinky then from the braids? DD likes her hair braided at night but it ends up so kinky and crimped I don't like doing it all the time. 

two tight braids it is kinky one loose braid and it is straight. If it is kinky and I want it straight, I just re spray it with detangler brush.

oh and no to a French braid then she looks terrible. Only one down her back.

I usually put Julia's hair in braids for bed then soak it thoroughly to comb it in the morning. She has really curly hair and if I touch it dry it goes from curly to frizzball.
