What's your skin to skin routine?

Confession-I am really bad about taking my baby's clothes off and incorporating skin to skin into our day. How do you guys do it? And how often? For how long?

We multitask. I take LO into the bath with me. Bonding time, plus we both get clean.

I haven't done it since leaving the hospital. The closest thing we do to skin to skin is tummy time on my chest.

We don't do it either. LO has not been a happy camper being undressed. She's coming to terms with it now, but I haven't even thought of skin to skin.

I have a screaming banshie when just in a diaper or naked. But we do bare chested and LO in a onesie.

I am so glad for this post. I was feeling crazy guilty too. We have done it a couple of times, basically when I felt her temp was up and when she was really fussy. We do "down to diaper" every morning bc she loves being that naked. I prop her up on her Boppy and talk to her, touch her, sing to her, and sometimes grab her and put her to me skin to skin but we don't make it a routine thing to skin to skin.

we don't do this anymore unless DD has a meltdown during her diaper change, then I'll pick her up and cuddle her so she's almost naked but I'm still clothed. we do a lot of chest to chest cuddles as that's how she drifts off to sleep the best but it's not skin to skin. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't do it!

I was just thinking about this!

We don't do it at all anymore. I feel kind of bad about it but LO doesn't like it when we take his clothes off and I FF so I'm not taking my shirt off to feed him.

How long are you "supposed" to do skin-to-skin?

To be honest I didn't know you were suppose to past the first week or two. DS hates being naked so we stopped a while ago. Glad I'm not alone.

Honestly, we haven 't done any skin to skin. By the time I got her in the hospital, she was dressed. And she doesn 't like being naked either. We do lots of chest to chest, clothed.
