Helmet moms

LO got a helmet yesterday. I was all in love with the cuteness of this helmet until I realized how awkward it is to BF a baby wearing a helmet. Now I cringe at the thought of him wearing this thing for several months. For those BFing a baby with a helmet or had a previous kid with a helmet, please tell me this will get easier! It wiggles around, twists one of his ears when he turns his head, etc. They said it would be a couple weeks before it fit well, but still, it's driving me crazy!

It does get easier, but I agree it sucks. My DD had one and DS needs one.. And this is the only thing that actually upsets me about having to do it again. I love the cuddles while nursing and the helmet just totally interferes. I do not want to feel a big piece of plastic against my skin, I want to feel my baby. Unless I know he will fall asleep while eating, I plan on taking it off to nurse. He is a fairly quick eater, so it won't be for long. But, you do kind of get used to it and it's NBD after a while. Especially once you see how much THEY don't care and aren't bothered by it.
