I'm not a big seafood fan, but I think it's because I've never had the right kind or cooked right. I want to try again. Any good recipes? Or recs on what kind to try first?
I would recommend starting with something pretty mild/plain and then seasoning it however you want. I don't have a lot of recipes, but something I like to do is get tilapia filets, sprinkle it with Montreal steak seasoning and then cook it in a pan on the stove. I make a mayo/sriracha dip to serve with it.
Another thing I like to do is replace chicken with shrimp in a stir fry.
Also, just grilled shrimp with some salt/pepper/garlic/butter is good and simple.
Shrimp scampii is one of my husband's favorites, there are tons of recipes for it.
I made cod the other night just by wrapping it in tin foil with some salt, pepper, and a smide of olive ol spray, and baking at 350 for about 25 minutes. It was perfect. I know thats not a recipe per se, but if you wanted something plain you can pretty much cook any fish this way. Or in a parchment paper packet with some veggies.

I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I make this pretty regularly. It's easy and tasty:

I made this the other day and we enjoyed it: https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/creamy-cajun-shrimp-linguine-10000001227922/ (I left out the mushrooms and added some andouille sausage.
I eat fried shrimp so I'll have to try shrimp too.
