Baby Showers

Shower food ideas

I'm hosting a shower next weekend and need food ideas. It's at 2 pm, so not a meal time. I've ordered cupcakes for dessert and the MTB's only request is chips and guac. Any ideas for what else to have?

Re: Shower food ideas

  • My sister-in-law had wraps cut up into pinwheels, pasta salad, and veggies and dip (in addition to desserts and drinks). My shower was at 3 in the afternoon so not at mealtime either.
  • Maybe some calzones or strombolis. Fairly easy to make and, depending how you cut them, they serve a lot of guests.

  • Fruit or veggie tray, cheese and cracker platter, antipasta platter, little quiches(frozen kind), any type of finger food

  • I think maybe a platter if wraps or a hero along with fruit cheese and some simple finger foods should do.
  • I agree with small sandwiches. Also, a veggie or fruit tray will go a long way. You could also offer queso or salsa for those who don't care  for guac.

  • We had quiche, and tea sandwiches (small croissants with tuna salad and shrimp salad) a Greek salad and fruit. It was just enough to feed everyone and SO good.

  • I would keep it to finger foods, since it can be awkward to eat things like salad if you don't have a table to sit at.
