I am crocheting a blanket for my niece. She's have a major surgery in May with a six week recovery. Anyway, her favorite colors are red and pink. She's 11, so I want to make something fun and funky, not a valentines blanket. Have you seen any fun color combinations with red and pink (or just red) lately? Bonus points for pictures. Thanks!

I just bought DD a pair of red, pink and charcoal grey running shorts. They were cute!

I agree that teal or turquoise would be lovely. If you go with teal use a warmer red, turquoise use a cooler one.

Since she is 11, I vote for red, hot pink and purple. Maybe even adding white too. Totally girl colors without being little girl colors. I know that is what my 9 y.o. would go for even though I like the grey in there too.
