Well - I can't complain - my OB appt went ok. The doc looked and feels like we're having a boy. He said he's 70 % sure , the tech the other day said she was 96% sure - but she also used a whole lot more pictures to make her decision. Either way - we can live with it - it isn't guaranteed till we hold the kid anyway haha.
My cerclage is scheduled for monday. He's doing a Shirodkar stitch ( anyone else had one done?).It seems straight forward enough . Poor doc I asked thrice for them to confirm - this is the one that comes out right? They like to do c-sections here - so I wanted to make sure he wasn't committing me to one .....

I definitely will update. I have been Dr. Googling and it seems it is a lot harder to remove one ( vs a macdonald stitch) in the doctor's office - and they often do it in an operating theater ( Eeeek )

I know two people who have had the stitch, with both doctors tried to remove it in office, they clipped it but it was stuck, that being said both had natural deliveries, no cs

That's comforting! Because I really don't want to have CS if I don't have to. Doctors here push them like crazy for no reason....

Good luck with the cerclage! One of my OBs mentioned possibly doing one for me, but at my last appt a diff OB in the office said maybe not. I'm seeing the high risk OB on Thursday, we'll see what they say. I'll be following your progress!

I say trust the specialist - I have no faith in OBs.... which is why I'm kind of freaking out that mine is being put in by an OB but High risk pregnancy specialists don't exist out here
