Hi ladies! My name is Jessica and I've been lurking for a few months on and off. I just want to start by saying I'm so sorry for your loss(es)!
I got married last January. I was 20! I turned 21 a month later. By the end of April I was pregnant. Unfortunately it ended a week later in a chemical pregnancy. My next cycle was very off, but it allowed me to get pregnant again in the next cycle. I lost that baby in September in a missed miscarriage. I thought I was 10 weeks, but lost it at 9. We don't know the cause, but we have since learned that I tend to ovulate the day before my period. I'm not on anything, but we are hoping that because I just got off bc I might have a few months of normal cycle, but it's not looking that way. I was told to wait 5 months and we did, but we are ready to do this thing!
I hope to be a valuable member, and thank you for sharing your lives!
@pinkcamino it was the only time that we did the deed anywhere (like 7days either way) near when we should have gotten pregnant. I'm always at least 2 weeks later than I should be. My cycle is kinds of crazy and its usually a guessing game! We are trying to chart again, but I've had all negative opk's so who knows? Maybe I missed it this month. So yeah it's more of a guess, but it seems to be what as t-shirts going on and doc said it was incredibly late, or I really don't ovulate often?
Are you only using OPK's to chart? If you aren't temping I'd suggest starting, it will really help you understand your cycles better. Fertility Friend is a great site with plenty of tutorials to get you started. Good luck TTC again!

oh okay...
well, don't take this personally love but that's impossible. Our bodies simply don't work that way okay? If you're not already charting I highly suggest you do. We all have a LP that is longer than 1 day. The average is 10-12 days.
I am charting and I know how it sounds. But I can't change what happened. Maybe something else happened, but I don't know. When I test its negative when the doc tests it shows I haven't, even near the end. So who knows. I've been on the bump before with people who swear something happened when it's totally impossible, but I don't know how else it would have happened. Thanks for your honesty though. Maybe this go around will be more clear haha! I am using FF but don't know how to link it. I'm trying to temp, but I'm not so good at that yet. If you know how else I'd totally take your word for it! My mom had trouble conceiving (6 years) and a horribly irregular period and so do I.

It might be possible that you're not ovulating at all. Have you been tested for PCOS?
Welcome I am sorry for your losses. I would get another dr that won't laugh and get tested for pcos. They will look at your ovaries, your thyroid, test your blood sugar levels, it is sometimes difficult to diagnose.
I'm very sorry for your loss, but welcome to the board. I agree that it seems like your doctor is not taking you seriously and I would find a new one. I hope that you are able to get some answers and charting your BBT will help. My way to remember to chart every morning is to put my thermometer on, or in front of, my alarm clock so it's the first thing I see when I wake up. Good luck!

I am so sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here. I agree with PP that maybe it's time for a new Dr if you are having concerns something is going on and the current one is not taking you seriously. Charting really is simple and can give you a better idea what is going on. Once you find a routine that works for you. I tend to wake up at 5am to pee and medicate my dog so I temp 1st, do all I need to do, and go back to sleep for another 2 hours. Good luck!!

Welcome I'm so sorry for your losses. I agree with PP about charting and also making sure you're using opks correctly. I've had so many OPK problems and I think it's mostly because I was using them incorrectly (testing wrong time of day, not peeing into a cup first and then dipping the stick in...). Hope your body is back to normal and your stay here will be short!

I'm so sorry for your losses, but welcome to the board. This is a really supportive and knowledgable bunch of women. You said you were using FF - to put a link to your chart in your siggy or a post you first have to create your home page, then it will give you a link. Directions on how to do that are HERE.
I highly recommend charting your BBT as well. It sounds to me like you O late, or maybe don't O sometimes. I don't really understand what you got tested or when so I won't comment on that except to say I don't think it's possible to get your period 1 day after you ovulate. BBT will help give you a better picture. FWIW, I sometimes don't get positives with OPKs but temps confirm I have Od, so I wouldn't rely solely on those to tell you if/when you O.

I remember you from the April board. I'm sorry for your loss; welcome to the board.
I agree with @PinkCamino that it doesn't seem possible? I'm really not trying to be rude or condescending in any of this. Have you watched the tutorials on FF that explain how your body works? What do you base you ovulating on if you start your period the next day? If you had sex 8 days before you got a + HPT later then that is a little early but within normal ranges. If you start your period and aren't temping then how do you know that you ovulate the day before? How long are your irregular cycles? I highly recommend spending some time in the blog and on FF and go to the local library and borrow a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility!! Oh and definitely get a new doctor who will take your seriously. You are going through a lot and do not need that on top of it ((Hugs)) Best of luck & I hope your stay is short.
Married the love of my life June 18, 2011 -- Me (28) DH (29)
Thanks ladies! @jap618 I recognized you too! I know you aren't being condescending, I don't mind the questions. I have watched the tutorials, and I know by all measures is impossible. The only reason I assume it has happened like that was based on the first pregnancy. I was 2 almost 3 weeks late when I got a positive. I lost it a week later, and my HCG was so low they said it could only be at most 3-4 weeks. I record (or was recording) every time we had sex, and the only possible day was the day before I was supposed to start. We hadn't had sex in over a week, had sex, then didn't again until after everything happened. So I'm not exactly sure why or how, but after that my cycle can run from 30-60 days. I never know when it will start. I love research and will be doing more on all of this for sure! But if you have any idea how that's possible I'd love a more concrete answer because I really don't like feeling or looking dumb haha It was probably just a fluke! That or because I was so late in finding out and they said I was so early it just totally confused me and they never corrected me haha! Either way lets hope we get some regularity going! Thank you again for welcoming me!
Sorry you find yourself here, but welcome to the board. Hope you find support and help during this time!
