Wiping of the butt

how do you handle wiping your kids butt after they poop on the potty??

I'm still trying to figure this part out.. Right now I have DS get off the potty turn around and I wipe his butt with baby wipes. 

Also how do you teach them to wipe their own butts? and actually do a good job of it??

Since I am of the belief that even adults should moist wipe post poop, we keep wipes on her toilet and I have her bend over to make sure she is good to go. She is pretty good at wiping herself but sometimes better than other times.

@lalamama81 it just seems and feels cleaner to me. and there are ones that are much thinner and easier to break down (toilet safe) than baby wipes.

She wipes herself and uses a baby wipe for poop. I just have to supervise to make sure she doesn't try to flush more than 1 or 2 wipes.

We just switched to toilet safe wipes. She recently started trying on her own and for a week or so I checked it after (by wiping again). She did fine so I let her do it herself unless she asks.
