Alright ladies I need some help. I am on a milk-free diet now, and hosting a dinner tomorrow night for dh's old college friends. I have dinner planned, but I need a tasty, milk-free (or I can use almond milk) dessert. There is no way I'm making a big dinner and dessert and not be allowed to eat it lol
And.......GO!

  • I caught myself and edited it lol.

  • Eh.... With desserts.... Mediocre at best lol

  • I have a killer fruit salsa recipe that you eat with Stacey's Cinnamon Pita Chips, but it may be more of an appetizer. If you serve it in individual bowls you MAY be able to get away with it. Let me know!

  • Chocolate pudding made with silken tofu is really yummy and more of a mousse texture. You can fancy it up by putting it in cute individual servers when you chill and adding raspberries or strawberries on top.

  • We r having beef brisket, coleslaw and oven roasted red potatoes
    Ps.. These desserts sound great!

  • My favorite EASIEST DESSERT EVER may work for you, but it depends if you can use butter? Pioneer Woman's cobbler:
    2 sticks melted butter
2 cups milk (vanilla almond would be awesome!)
    2 cups of sugar
    2 cups self rising flour
Mix all together. Partially thaw a bag of frozen berries (your choice, I've done a single type of berry or a mix) in a colander in the sink. Pour batter in prepared 9x13 pan, sprinkle berries on top, sprinkle a little extra sugar on top. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. YUM!

  • Pies or cobblers. You can buy premade pie crust to make things easier. I also have a great recipe for red velvet brownies if you're looking for something different. Both of these have butter so not dairy free but they are milk free.

  • Thanks everyone. I'm going with a cobbler.... But I pocketed the other recipes for myself to use later on :)
I would love the fruit salsa recipe too please

  • 2 kiwis - peeled and diced
2 golden delicious apples - peeled, cored, and diced
    8 ounces raspberries
    1lb strawberries - diced
    2 tbsp. white sugar
    1 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. fruit preserves, any flavor. I've used strawberry and it's been very good.

Mix everything together and chill for at least 15 mins before serving. The dicing is a pain, but the smaller the dices, the better it tastes!

  • This has been my go to recipe. They are good and really easy to make
