This is kind of late for this one, but it got so sick of hearing Bob Costas give all his political opinions on the Olympic coverage. I was not watching to hear about how great Putin is for getting the Olympics together or any of the other things he went off about. I just wanted to see the damn competitions! So in general, unless you are on a political show, I do not give a damn what your politics are. Hollywood included!
I can't stand skull and crossbones on baby clothes. I'm not putting something on my child that signifies death and poison #itseverywheretoo #itsnotcute #maybeimsuperstitious
I think baby shoes are freaking adorable. I don't care if they are pointless or a PITA. Also, it's cold here, and it helps keep him from pulling his socks off.
Oh I have another one. I think if you don't like country music you don't have a soul. Jk...kinda. I get if you don't like the sound of it, but to not appreciate the lyrics? Country music is one of the best story telling genres, so many country songs move me to tears.
Agreed. You're Gonna Miss This makes me cry every time it comes on the radio. Stupid hormones!

Old country music, yes. Pop country that talks about Solo cups and wearing lampshades on your head, nooope.
Ick. Country music. ICK. #idontcareifidonthaveasoul #theyprobablyplaycountrymusicinHELL
@sleepy Yes they're cute, but it's not that they're just pointless. It's bad for their feet to wear shoes until they actually need them ie, walking. It constricts their movements that are developmentally important. #ickisoundlikesooner #itstruethough
really soft and loose booties are considered OK especially if you need them for extra warmth. I'd go with moccasins if anything
@carriet I just finished reading your entire post lol. Singing about drinking beer in a rusty truck with a girl in tight jeans is NOT a good story. #trulynotsorry
I am a huge fan of skulls and all that good stuff - actually my dress today has a big cut out lace skull in the back of it - yep I'm working and I hope it pisses them off. But I agree it kind of freaks me out on babies (i was gifted a cute onsie with one) Maybe when she's a little bit older
my UO: I heard the kardashians were coming out with a baby clothes line that will be available at BRU in March or May. I am mega pumped about this. I think the Kardashians are so annoying but c'mon, they dress super cute.
I detest yard decorations. You know, the blow up stuff that generally appears during Christmas time. Execpt now, I seem to see them on lawns for Every.Freaking.Holiday. EW!
Country music: eh. It's just ok. You're not going to find me at country fest.
Skull and crossbone babywear: Nope. Nope. Nope.
Kardashian stitches: Nope.Nope.Nope.
Baby shoes: We have a few pairs, but none that currently fit. Not opposed to using them if we're going out for a period of time, but I probably wouldn't put them on to just hang out at home. But then again, I don't hang out in my shoes when I'm home either.
I dig skulls and CJ has a onesie with one on it. He'll soon be big enough to wear it. FWIW it is a very happy skull
There were some recent posts on tattoos so here might be a UO:
People with tattoos shouldn't be discriminated against. If someone wants to paint their body, cool. Tatted people have a harder time getting a job and are seen a certain type of way. Heck, I have 1 small, unoffensive tat on my wrist and couldn't get a job because it would be visible. The same goes for piercings. I think the two can be beautifully done and are often very special to the person. They in no way take away from the personality, professionalism or capabilities of them.
ETA this is a generality. There are obvious exceptions such as hateful tattoos or really fucking stupid ones ;-) i.e. fails, but even then I just pity a fool
You're Gonna Miss This makes me cry too! It really reminds me to appreciate every moment in some way even the "bad" ones.
@psychdoc12: that was one of my father/daughter dance songs at my wedding. I tear up when I hear it too. When I was pregnant I would always cry when "watching you" by Rodney Atkins came on, thinking about DS and DH. As for an UO...Will return w/one!
Oh yea and I think powdered creamer is NASTY. save it for the astronauts!
LOL oh man, I go through about one big one of these a week. I drink a shameful amount of coffee and it would be dairy overload if I didn't have my powdered non-dairy creamer. Oi, I also drink decaf. I sound like the winningest winner evar ha hahaha.
I think it is silly for people to go to a public event like a sports game or concert and get upset about people swearing and/or drinking. You are going to a venue with 10K+ people all looking to have a good time, whatever that means to them. You are not going to be able to control them so don't expect to go and get a rated G experience. If you want that, stay home and watch it on TV.
Can I go off of this one and say I hate when people go to a concert and SIT DOWN the whole time?! Yes there are some concerts where sitting is appropriate but if you're seeing an energetic band that is playing its heart out fucking stand up and dance!

@sleepy33
I see you have a pillow under the deathtrap. Does it wobble? I've had dh take it apart twice trying to fix the wobble, and I threw the box so I couldn't exchange it, but it looks like yours does too. Fisher Price, right?
YES! It does have a wobble to it! At first I thought it was just because our floors are uneven, but I think it's actually the tubes moving around in their 'sockets' for lack of a better descriptor. So far, it doesn't seem to affect him, but I wonder if it will be kind of janky when he's big enough to really bounce.

I think the odds of country music playing in hell, are about as good as hell existing to begin with. But I'm sure they'd all be wearing skulls at the same time. I love country music. And now I'm curious to know what you DO like for music.
And on the shoe thing, we have lots of shoes to match lots of outfits for Junior. I've never heard a pediatrician say, now make sure you steer clear if those nasty shoes they have out there, they'll do some serious damage. And Junior always has shoes on at his appointments. Sources of this info, please?
Hahaha. I like Anything but those redneck twangs. Just because you love it doesn't mean it's the only type of music hahah. #yourerighthellprobablydoesntexist #itsrighthereonearth #wherecountrymusiclives
As for the shoes it's been around for DECADES. It hinders their development because of the constriction. There are ton of articles written by doctors about it. What's that phrase..? Oh yes.

I find nothing credible online to back this up. I don't see how soft-soled shoes worn when we go outdoors in the cold (so max maybe an hour a day a couple of times a week) are really going to have any significant impact. (disclaimer: I only took this pic of him in the jumperoo w/ his new outfit on to send to Grandma, he doesn't wear shoes around the house. Only to show off how fancy he is when we go out.) #soonermesomemore #linkmetosomefacts

My UO (which I would hope isn't unpopular, but then WHY do so many people do it?!!!!): Being a smoker doesn't give you the right to litter!!!!! Oh, you don't want a butt in your car? Well, I don't want this granola bar wrapper in my car, but I chose to consume it, I'm going to dispose of it properly!
Current country lyrics are trite. Sorry, not sorry.
Tattoos and piercings are cool (unless they are hateful). However, you shouldn't be too surprised when your facial alterations cause people to discriminate in the workforce. Not to say I don't think people should do them, but you know the saying, "Dress for the job you want"? Same concept. You want a job dealing with people face to face, don't alter your face too majorly (this goes for heavy makeup wearers). Anything from the shoulders down, I think is really NBD.
Oh, and sitting during a concert, yeah, I don't get it, but ok, maybe they'rE tired and their feet hurt...but Boise is really bad about talkers during concerts!!!! Don't go to a mother lovin' show (obviously talking about smallerish venues and shows) just to TALK THROUGH THE WHOLE FUCKING THING!!! You are detracting from my personal experience and it's freaking rude!!!!
I will disagree with the skull and crossbones thing...I have a horrible time find cute ones for baby girls. And I LOVE it. My husband and I love skulls and Daphne has already worn a few with skulls. We are a little punk and alternative anyhow and I love the more modern looking clothes for baby. I love the brighter colors and the punk stuff.
Flame away!
My rant right now is changing tables....what the crap is with places not having them and why don't they put them in men's bathrooms too? I think it should be required in all new construction and also remodels.
And as you can see, here is Daphne in a skull bow and outfit. She was about 2 months old. Again, flame away! I love it.
I think babies who have pacifiers in their mouths for pictures look FAR less attractive than those without. A doesn't take her paci too often, but if she does I sure take it out before I take a pic of her...or I just wait. I hate the paci look.
My husband works there! LOL. He basically won't eat there because he is around it all the time. When we want breakfast food, it's two local mom and pop places for us!

Don't care for skull/crossbones on any gear, let alone baby stuff.
Tats don't make the person...shouldn't be judged for them...if they're inappropriate tattoos that's another story for having them showing.
Hate haters at a concert...how can you NOT stand up and dance!?
Still thinking of my own...
I get that babies don't NEED to wear shoes.
