Long morning.. VENT

Ugh I have had one shitty ass morning.

LO was still sleeping while I was getting ready for work this morning but started to wake up as I was about to leave so my Mom and I went into her room oohh'd & ahh'd at her she was all smiles, my morning was going well! Until I picked her up turned, stepped on the dog, he yelps, I trip over him and slam to the floor with LO in my hands. I have terrazo floors and let me tell you I have never felt my stomach turn as much as it did then. I slammed on my knees and elbows trying to keep LO from hitting the floor. THANKFULLY we just missed the dresser and she is perfectly fine & all smiles, my knees and elbows not so much....I cried and went to work with blood shot eyes and bruised knees. And to top it off there was an unexpected executive visit at work.... don't mind my red eyes, bruised knees & no I don't feel like walking with you to discuss leasing options......

I need a drink!

Oh man! Thank goodness LO is okay! Sorry about you knees and elbows! I'm always worried about tripping over the dogs or falling up or down the stairs with LO. Sorry it had to happen to you! Hope the rest of your day goes better!

Oh my god girl, kudos to you for protecting your LO. I am so sorry about your knees. The dog trips me up too

One of our dogs likes to stand up whenever you step over him or around him and I've almost tripped several times. It's a pain!

I am so scared of falling while holding Cora. I'm sorry that happened to you, but glad your LO is okay. Hopefully your bumps and bruises will heal quickly!

Ahh so sorry, glad LO is ok, that would've scared me so much! I'm always terrified that I'll trip while holding LO & going down the stairs.

Omg that's scary! I'm sorry about your bruised knees but look at it as a badge for being a good mommy and keeping your lo safe. DH tripped over the dog once with DS in his arms. It was a hard fall but DS never hit the ground. It's amazing what we can do to keep our lo's safe.
