I have a friend who is 16wk pg right now, and based on her hormone levels and general health history, her doc says she is at high risk for ppd. Dad is generally clueless when it comes to babies, thinks it will be a breeze, and doesn't think their life will change much at all after baby. My friend has already given me her blessing to "warn" dad about ppd and what to watch for, etc.
What has been some useful articles, links, etc regarding ppd, written in a way that dads who have less interest in research can understand?
Thanks!
Re: Helping dads understand ppd?
We are on our second round of PPD. I had it with DD2 and now with DD3. For me a schedule and excercise are huge. DH and I have a shared calendar and he really encourages me to make sure I get out and be with others a couple of times a week.
