PP bleeding tmi

How long pp did you have heavy bleeding? I was fine 5-6 days pp, but in the last four days it was really picked up and is almost constant. I feel fine, it's just grossing me out and I don't remember this with dd1. I'm two weeks pp, I don't know how to fix my ticker :)
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

Re: PP bleeding tmi

  • I'm 2 weeks post c/s. Mentioned to my doc that my bleeding had already stopped and how great that was b/c I bled 4-6 weeks with my previous babies. She was like yeah... Don't get your hopes up. It may still come back- there is no rhyme or reason at all. But she also reminded me that increased bleeding is almost always a sign of over-exertion so pay attention and ease up when it picks up.

I am fairly certain a portion of it due to over exertion unfortunately. My two year is now home with me as of last week and one can only rest so much with a toddler running around...good to know I'm not the only one who's experiencing it coming and going.

I'm almost 3 weeks PP and the bleeding stopped/slowed for a few days, but lately it has really picked up. I'm using the overnight maxis and going through several a day. Oh and my lady bits are really sore again, like they were rights after delivery.

  • It is normal for it to slow down, or stop entirely, and then pick right back up. I find it picks up when I exert myself more. With my son it stopped around 2 weeks, and then randomly at 3-4 weeks pp it picked up again for another 2 weeks. Don't get your hopes up *too* high just yet:) Enjoy the break though!

Try a new pad. The soreness may actually be a sensitivity to that brand. Always makes me sore. I have to use Stayfree w/o wings.

@slwprincess Thanks, I'll try it. I still have some that the hospital gave me. I suspect it's just vag soreness though...like the kind I'd have during my periods (I have endometriosis).
