I'm loving DS's new words lately. He can tell me what a frog says ("libbit, libbit") and can name more fruit including strawberries and bananas ("taw-bees" and "banas"). His dad also taught him how to shrug his shoulders and say, "I dunno..." this weekend. He will also give us random lectures these days. Last night he was quietly eating supper in his high chair and suddenly yelled out, "Cookie?! Hello! (Blah-blah-something) Night, night!"
We got home yesterday from traveling to see family. And we were able to start bedtime routine at 5:00!! (Two hours early). And he was sound asleep by 6. Awesome!
And then he slept until 7:30 am (well still woke up 3x to nurse).
It makes me smile that we don't have the snow and it's been 65-70 for a few days. I tried my Ergo without the insert and it worked pretty wonderfully so we went for a long hike yesterday and I'm not as out of shape as I thought.
I think we have a dog, not a baby. dS has started sticking his tmgue out, sometimes like he's licking the air. He already makes panting type of sounds sometimes, and throws his balls on the floor to chase them.
Watching ds2 with ds1's cat is fun. Eevee, the cat, will lay in the pnp or the crib with ds2. When she gets tired of him scratching/pulling/bopping her head, she just turns around and gives him her backside to play with while she sleeps. When she has had enough, or is just ready to, she jumps out. Saturday when she jumped out of the pnp, ds2 started crying even though he had beeen playing at one end while she was sleeping at the other end. We can only guess that ds didn't like her leaving him by himself.
It's also interesting that the one time ds1 accidentally caused her pain (ds grabbed her tail wrong and dh wasn't fast enough to stop ds1), she moved as if to attack but stopped herself without human intervention when she realized who/what hurt her. She got up and moved out of his reach for a little while.

It makes me smile that we get to see L's one day older cousin this weekend. It's been two months and the babies have changed so much. It also helps that they live in an awesome town with great beer and coffee.
My kids playing together. They crawl around the ottoman and peek around the corners to see if the other is there and if they are they crack up laughing.
I told my mom I've been singing her lullabye to M, and that it always makes him smile. I thought she made it up because I've never heard anyone else sing it.
My my explained that she learned the song from her grandma. It made me smile that I'm passing on a family tradition that's probably 90 years old, and it makes me wonder how far back it might go.

I was having a bad morning, because Z has been getting her molars for a month (her front teeth took 2 months of swollen gums and waking up screaming to finally come in...), and I'm just tired and grumpy and didn't think I could come up with one earlier.
I turned on Pandora and made the second cup of coffee I've had all pregnancy, and I'm standing here watching Z dance around the living room to Jack's Mannequin and sipping my coffee, and that's enough.
LO 'a new fun game is watching the washing machine fill up. She gets super excited and starts giggling. I took her to see it, and when it finished we did a washing machine dance. It's the little things.
I'm smiling bc E did something yesterday, then triumphantly shouted "I did it!" plain as day. She barely says a few individual words, then busts out a 3 word sentence. I'm so proud! I'm also smiling bc I know I gave @mapleme a fair portion of those love jugs. You're welcome MM!

i'm smiling because i took micah for his Kindergarten check up/shots and when we got home he climbed on my lap and said, "don't worry mom, even when i'm big enough to go to the 8th grade i'll still be your boy"
This made me cry.
Today DS was getting dressed and grabbed his hairbrush and started brushing his hair! I know this stuff isn't a big deal to anyone besides me, but I brush his hair MAYBE once a week so I have no idea where this came from. He also intermittently used it to brush his teeth
I'll be full term on Wednesday. I'm not sure if that makes me smile or want to cry. I'm kinda ready, physically at least, but mentally I could use a few more weeks. But I'm happy we've made it this far happy and healthy and I'll have tiny nb fluffy butt pics soon!!
Little man has figured out how to get his socks off his feet and when he does he gets the biggest smile. If I ask him how he got those socks off he giggles. I can't help but smile when he giggles it's the best sound in the world
