Oy, not in love with any boy names

Our last name starts with M and ends with -er, so would like to avoid those. The best we have come up with are Colin (a little too common) and Rowan. DH likes Calvin but all i can think of is Hobbs. Any ideas? Looking for something fairly unique but not weird, hard to pronounce, etc. DD is Mila. Thanks!

One thing I realized is that you may not love any names right away. It's when you start narrowing down your potential, and then coming up with middle names for said potentials, that you realize you love the name. I thought we'd never decide on a name for this LO.

I think Calvin is adorable. There is one in DS's playgroup and I never thought Calvin and Hobbes. But even if I did it's not a bad reference. It's a good name!

Some good suggestions! I like Quinn, but it's so popular for girls right now (and that whole gender confusion bothers me). I like Miles too, but it's too close DD's name (as is Milo), I like the suggestion of trying the whole name. We're pretty sure the MN will be John after my father - who passed away. I guess Calvin John is kind of cute! I'll try out some of the other too. Maybe they need to just sit with me for awhile. I am lucky that DH is fine with almost anything...
