BAD DOG!!!!!

I have been going crazy with a baby that won't sleep unless on me. Then I realized its because I've only tried to get her to sleep elsewhere once! So today, when she was tired I swaddled her and put her in her crib with her Tranquil Turtle (FYI she's only ever slept in the cuddle cove of her PnP). It only took twice of me going in & she was out! I was so happy I could cry!!! (Yesterday was a bad day...)

...30 minutes later the dog decided it was a good idea to bark at a delivery truck & woke the baby. ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?!?

Very bad dog! I would have cried. My LO still won't sleep anywhere but on me as well. Did she go back to sleep?

ATM she's nursing (she barely goes 2 hours between feedings and I have to really stretch for that) but she's falling asleep on the boob so I'll be trying again...

Sadly I can't say my dog is a jerk because she's just protective but she could hear my angry voice through the monitor when I tried just rocking LO &was hiding in her crate when I came out...

I am in the same boat as you. Good luck lady!
Eta: whenever we go to my moms house her dog is the same way. He loves the baby so much and is super protective but often disturbs her. They mean to be good.

That would make me so mad!! We don't have a dog anymore, but our next door neighbors have one that barks at everything and nothing. LO's room is 10 feet from their yard and he wakes her up with his barks. I've had very irrational thoughts about "solving the problem."

UPDATE...I actually DID get her back to sleep and I'm just praying super hard she stays asleep for at least 45 minutes...I'd love way more than that, but since this is the first time I've even attempting to get her to sleep in her crib, much less NAP in her crib, I recognize it may not be super long. Given that she has only had a handful of extended day time naps, ALL on me, this would definitely be a miracle! I go back to work in exactly one month and I need her to nap in a crib...so obviously, I gotta start trying to GET her to! And...is it bad that I'm ready for her to be out of my room? I want DH time...

Oh gosh this is exactly my house! Whenever a delivery person comes, which is like daily now, he barks and I swear it's always when she's just falling asleep or I just put her down. And she also loves sleeping in my arms mostly so it's huge when she's asleep somewhere else and I can do things! I'm sorry, but glad you got her back to sleep!

My sleep timer told me she had a 45 minute nap but in reality the last 5-10 minutes she was awake and attempting a prison break, baby style. Now that she's barely slept today, maybe an hour?, she'll either be Miss Cranky Pants or sleeping at DH's soccer banquet...I hope for sleeping since DH will be no help to me, running the banquet and all. Ugh.
