I should start listening to my RE

We have been on a break from treatment since September to lose weight. Due to having PCOS and being overweight I haven't O'd on my own in years.  I have been losing weight and I naturally O'd 2 months in a row.  What my RE told me was if I do not naturally O take a pregnancy test every other month and if its negative start taking the Provera to induce AF.  Well, this past month I did not O.  I have been tracking and temping and nothing happened.  On CD35 I gave up and decided well I haven't O'd so i'm going to go ahead and start the Provera.  Sure enough I O half way through my Provera.  The annoying thing is due to being snowed in and bored we did BD on Thursday morning and I O'd sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.  So now I am so pissed cause that could have potentially been great timing but because of the Provera it doesn't matter.  Right now I am pissed that I started the Provera sooner than I should have, but I do see the silver lining in all of this..... at least I did O naturally again!
Moral of the story, be patient and follow your REs directions.

10/11-10/12 - tried to conceive naturally with Metformin, due to PCOS never had a cycle
10/12-12/12 3 cycles of Clomid - fail
6/13- 1st cycle on Clomid 50mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel- BFN
7/13 2nd cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel 1st IUI - BFN
8/13 3rd cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel 2nd IUI - BFN

From 12/13 to current I have ovulated 4 times naturally
Currently on break to get healthy.... 35 pounds down, 13 to go!

    Yikes, I'm sorry! Yes, listen to the RE!! Though I don't blame you... I would've gotten antsy by then too. Are you temping or doing OPKs too?

    Me: 32 DH: 35  TTC#1 since March 2012
    Dx: Poor Embryo Quality, Arcuate Uterus, Poor Uterine Blood Flow, Mild Endo, 
           Protein S Deficiency, Sjorgen's Syndrome 

    IUI #1-5: BFN
    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!
    Beta #1 11/24 (13dpo/8dp5dt) = 367 ~ Beta #2 11/26 (15dpo/10dp5dt) = 709
    Beta #3 11/29 (18dpo/13dp5dt) = 1,997 ~ Beta #4 12/1 (20dpo/15dp5dt) = 3,403

    @intuitiveblue since I posted this my friend told me very similar things.  The reasons I believe I O'd is because on friday night into saturday morning my boobs got really sore like they usually do when I O, also I had some ovary cramping and like you said the temp spike.  I didn't know that the provera could cause temp spikes so now I know to watch out for that..... also to buy more OPKs so if this happens again I can be prepared.  I have only been temping about for 2 months so i'm still getting used to this.
