Hi ladies,
I have been lurking for awhile and am a member of May14. I was wondering what your thoughts are on sending thank you notes when receiving baby gifts in the mail ahead of the shower from people who aren't attending. My shower is March 22, but a group of family members pitched in and very generously bought me the travel system. I know the mom is unable to attend the shower because she is away, but I am not sure if her daughters are attending or not. I would like to send a thank you note soon, as I feel it would be impolite to wait until after the shower to acknowledge the gift. WWYD? send thank you notes as things come in now or wait until after the shower to send with all of them? Thanks!

I agree with PP's - if you can do it now, great! If the daughters come to the shower and bring gifts with them, send another thank you card for those items.
we had a lot of stuff sent to our house prior to the shower but I knew many of those people were attending, so I made a list of everything received prior and sent just informal thank you's via text, FB, etc letting them know we received the gift and looked forward to seeing them at the shower. Now, post-shower, I'll use my list to make sure they get a proper thank you card.
