Trader Joe's is Finally Here!!

Trader Joe's finally opened yesterday in Denver! My mom and I are going today. What should I be on the lookout for? Any suggestions? I'm excited to go see what it's all about!

How exciting! I love the mandarin orange chicken and the teriyaki chicken in the freezer section. Both are easy, delicious meals. I also like the pumpkin pancake/waffle mix. Sweet potato chips are good, as is the coffee. Does yours have wine? Mine doesn't (thanks, New York State!), but they have good wines.

Tons of good stuff but skip the produce (especially fruit).

Ummm everything!!

Wine, spinach dip, veggie "birds nests", they have a great cheese selection (try their goat cheese) teriyaki chicken....

They also have minced garlic frozen into little cubes. 1 cube=1 clove. I buy tons of them, HUGE cooking time saver!

I really could go on and on!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I like the idea of the frozen orange or teriyaki chicken, especially with LO on the way. Seems like it would be an easy meal to throw together. 

@shellbell3845, we have one store that has wine and beer. The rule in Colorado is that only one store can have alcohol and all others cannot. My mom and I are not going to the one with wine today ( She's not a drinker at all, so she doesn't care about it. All I can think is that a week from now, I'll be able to have wine again!) DH and I will have to go check that one out later!

@karich, I like the idea of the frozen minced garlic. Brilliant!

veggie lasagna, goyza potstickers or something like that, cookie butter, spinach tortellini, i like the spaghetti sauce that is 1.29 or something, cat cookies for people, reduced guilt wheat thins, reduced guilt tortilla chips, cowboy caviar, i like their face wash,

I am a manager there and most things are good and everything that is Trader Joe's brand has no artificial flavoring, GMO's, or preservatives so you can feel good about what you're eating, not to mention its cheap :-)

I know this sounds weird but their vegan corn dogs are amazing. I'm not vegan but damn. Delicious.

Thanks everyone! Just got back It was super crowded, which I expected with it being the opening weekend. Everyone has been waiting forever! I did get some frozen stuff, including the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken to keep around for after the baby comes. I had to buy bacon cheddar cheese, because they were sampling it and it was delicious! Got a few other things, too, but I am so excited to go back and look around more when it's not as busy. 

@brocolli's_girl, I saw those cheddar rocket ships, good to know. I'll have to pick some up next time for DS.

@laurlaurlaur, I also saw those cookies and almost bought a pack. Next time!

@Avswolf, we went to the one on University and Orchard. It was crowded adn the line went all the way around the store, but we actually only had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. It moved along really well. Mid-week I would think it would be pretty good! I'm going to have to go to the one on Colorado with DH though to get some two buck chuck!
