Which do you like best? DD is Brooklyn Marie, DS is Donald Greig, if this one is a girl is will be Irene Jeanette. All names have strong family significance. Last name is VERY Irish, starts with an M and is 6 letters ;)

Re: Boy name

  • I would not go with Kelly for a boy. Confusing for work email, business cards, and for his future spouse to have to specify "my husband Kelly." My guy friends name is Kim and it must be tough.

  • Love love LOVE Orson, but spelled this way. I voted Orson James.

It probably has a lot to do with location, but Kelly is all girl to me.

  • I understand that Kelly might be a traditional Irish name, but assuming you don't live in Ireland please don't use Kelly for a boy....it's by and far a girl name.  I actually know tons of female Kellys - all age 20-60, and not one male with that name.  Any of the other names are fine.

  • I voted Kelly, although I understand it might be a brave choice. I would have voted for Orson if spelled this way.

Seriously?  You know a 60 year old female Kelly?  I find that hard to believe.  In 1953 it was ranked 591 for women, yet 232 for men.

And Kelly Slater hasn't had an inch of trouble with the name.

I'm from Ireland and I've never heard anyone with the first name Kelly, male or female. It's a surname. As a first name as an Irish person I immediately guess the person is American. Americans use it as a first name, Irish people don't.

of the options I like Tiernan most.
