For my shower, several people bought us a ton of small items individually wrapped and not included in a gift basket. Normally if it was a gift basket I would write something along the lines of "Thank you for the wonderful gift basket of baby essentials" but in this case each item was something different from the other (burping cloths, nursery fresheners, clothes, etc.).
It seems to me a bit tacky to write out a list of everything they got us by name, especially since there was well over 15 things in the gift bag.
How would you ladies approach writing the thank you's for these?
Say "all the wonderful baby essentials" or "thank you for all of the wonderful gifts. We will get a lot of use out of all of them"
This. If there was something, in particular, in the pile of things you stand out, you can highlight that item. E.g., "Thank you so much for all the wonderful baby essentials. I especially love the adorable ducky night light, but DH says his favorite is the Star Wars nightlight. All of it will certainly be put to good use."
This and this. Point out one or two in particular.
