Parenting

Hello. My name is aforst and my son is a stool hoarder.

This is our pedi's over-the-phone diagnosis of his constipation and refusal to potty train issues.  We are supposed to start giving him 1 full cap of Miralax a day for a month to see if it helps.

Man, it just feels good to say it out loud and not carry that shame.  :P

The title of this reminded me of the eating disorder special on HBO where Calista Flockhart played a bulemic who hid her vomit in jars in her closet. I am sorry your son is constipated but glad that you do not have a closet full of poop.
  • Nora eats prunes daily. It's made a big difference. Good luck to you lol.

    I don't know...at least he'd be shitting in something besides a diaper.  I might consider it a success.  :)

  • DS is 8 and still on a cap of miralax daily.  It helps for sure.  I hope he gets some relief soon!

  • DD does this :( she isn't potty training yet but I hope it doesn't interfere with that. She eats a prune a day plus a high fiber diet. I hope the miralax does the trick!

  • I didn't know if this was going to be about poop or if there was going to be a picture of your kid with several step stools.
