Enfamil FYI

My son has eczema and the cows milk similac was making it worst so we tried soy which made him constipated. His pediatrician recommended the Enfamil Nutramigen. It has helped his skin and he has not been constipated. But it is pretty expensive. 

But the FYI is Enfamil has a program (Power of 2) that gives you rebates and it is a chance your insurance will help cover some of the cost and Enfamil can send you the form for your pediatrician to fill out. Just wanted to let anyone know that has to use this formula.

We are on nutramigen as well and it is 100% covered by insurance. It's worth a shot for anyone who has a LO on a specific formula due to medical reasons to look into.

Do you know what is in it that helps clear up the eczema?

I'm not exactly sure, but it's made for infants with cows milk allergy. His pediatrician think it may be an allergy to the cow milk formulas, and his skin has really improved since we switched. My first son went through the same thing.

Thanks for the info! I feed mine Earths Best Organic and he seems to be doing well on it, however, I may try some of the Enfamil and see if it helps along with the other stuff I am using for his eczema.
