Skill I didnt know I would need

New skill I learned today; how to care for a 4 month old one handed. I cut open my thumb and needed stitches but i was home alone with Z. It's so hard. I now have even more admiration for people missing limbs

Re: Skill I didnt know I would need

  • my daughter was due in November but born 6 weeks early in October so I tend to post on both boards.
And no I was not comparing them. Since I cut an artery and was told to not use my hand today, I am operating one handed. It was a little eye opening just how dependent I am on having 2 hands Wasn't trying to offend, just had the observation

  • Yes I was home alone but luckily my husband was able to get home quickly and he can work from home today
  • How'd you cut yourself? That sounds incredibly painful :/

  • I'm surprised you've gone 4 months without having to use the one-handed skill.
