yesterday dh and i went to the blessed mcdonalds there was this lady in front of me with a teenager and two small children. Well, the cashier took her order and obviously did not see the smallest child, as he did not clear the counter. the cashier said your total is such and such amount. the customer proceeded to yell in a loud voice "are you not going to take my nephews order? he's right here, i bet its because i am black that you are rushing me!"

O M F G. seriously?!?

there is nothing more ridiculous than when people pull the race card, just to pull it. she seriously had no reason, the cashier did not see the little boy!

i am fully aware that racism is still found all over the place, but in this case it was just thrown out there to make a scene!

Some people are just... stupid...like that. It's like they just thrive on chances to make a big stupid scene about nothing.

My friend and I were eating at a horribly serviced chinese place and had been waiting on silverware and water through most of our meal. This woman who asked for a roll or water or something didn't get it and screamed - yes, screamed - "what color do you have to be for service here?" the answer to that question is "I don't know" because non of us were getting service.

I agree, for the most part. I have though experienced some racism though. I had an african american woman tell me to "go back to my own country", I am American, I'm black, white, hispanic, and native american, this is my country ***. I also have been told through every step of my education that I was only there because of the color of my skin. I never put my race up as a criteria- it is optional on forms and I don't want to get places because of my color.
