Does your nanny or babysitter drive LO?

For those of you with a nanny or babysitter, does she drive your LO? DD is 4.5 months and our nanny will be watching her this coming Sunday for a few hours. I feel bad that they're always held up in our small condo (3 days/wk) and was thinking about giving her the car seat adapter and stroller to be able to take her to the Rosebowl, if she wants. But then again i'm kind of nervous about DD being in someone else's car... 

If your nanny drives your LO did you check their driving record? Do you give your nanny limitations on where they can go?

My friend is watching my LO temporarily until my babysitter heals from surgery. She only leaves the house 1 day a week as she has obligations that I knew if. I don't like it, but I trust her. I never asked her what her driving is like or anything.

No, mine doesn't drive, but I would be ok with her driving if she needed to. As an ex-ER nurse (and I'm only saying this to assuage your fears, not that your nanny would get in an accident), I would see that the infant in the car seat was the only person unharmed in an accident. Amazeballs IMO; if strapped in correctly, obviously.

Ours drives my daughter to preschool every morning and picks her up every afternoon--both times with our baby in the car.

It is just second-kid syndrome....

Ours drives her kids to and from school everyday and LO tags along.

My DCP drives. She has 2 kids she has to drop off/pick up at preschool. During the summer, when she only had a couple kids, she takes them to the playground and Friendly's.

She has her own car seats but we provide the infant carrier and base until they are in the convertible seats. She has the seats inspected a couple times a year.
