Cloth Diapering

CD Fails

I find these funny so I thought I'd start one.

First (and it's in another post below): DH changed LO before I went to Target on Sunday. While there I checked to see if he'd put him in a sposie or cloth. Cloth. Yay! Oh..it's a fitted...without a cover. FAIL.

Second: DS' daycare teacher kept giving me a hard time about bringing too many diapers. I only brought 3 today assuming he had a few there still. Nope. Get a call at 2:45 that he needs more. Have to leave work and go home to get more. Best part? I had a whole bag of pre-stuffed pockets in my car and had met someone outside work at 11 to sell them. Oh the irony.

Re: CD Fails

  • Not really CD related, but A was naked for her potty training time the other day. J was playing with her and had her planking on his knees while he bounced her, squishing her belly. She ran out of the room giggling, and came back about fifteen seconds later saying that she needed to poop. I was like, 'Ok let's go to the bathroom!' And she turned around just in time for me to see that she had already started the process, and needless to say, she ended up pooping on my floor before we could make it to the toilet.

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
  • DD has been doing a fantastic job telling me she has to poop before she does so we can make it to the toilet. So well in fact that last night I took off her diaper without even checking and the poop rolled out of her diaper and plopped onto the floor.

  • Not exactly a fail, but E is obsessed with CDs. And she figured out how to open her stash drawer. Now she constantly goes into her room and pulls out all of her clean, folded dipes, strews then all over the room, and then chooses one to put on her teddy. Adorable for her, a mess for me.

  • I made a CD fail yesterday. We were at church and got L dedicated (yay!) and during service I nursed her. Well I kind of got distracted after service so L didn't get a diaper change right after eating. My mom was holding her and all of a sudden she starts peeing on grandma and all over the floor! It was running out of her diaper so fast I knew that the prefold was unable to hold anymore fluid. (Thankfully this happen on tiled floor.) I was mortified! Totally my fault!

@TJ1979 Ha! I can't stuff diapers while N is awake. He gets "jealous" of the diapers and yanks them out of my hands and throws them on the floor.
  • If I don't lock our step can, DS just starts putting clean diapers in there ...
  • Our babysitter this weekend put overnight diapers on: cover first, then diaper on the outside. Thank goodness for fleece pj's

This is why I gave up on anyone else putting an ON dipe on.
  • I'm amazed that people make cloth harder than it needs to be.  My sitters this week unsnapped the rise on a couple diapers and put the microfiber in my Freetimes against his skin.  They're ready to go, people...open up and snap on baby.

I had 2 sposie fails this week.  I thought maybe the cloth was rubbing his legs after his shots so we used sposies.  Weeks in cloth, no blowouts.  1 day in sposies, 1st blowout and 1st puddle on my bed.

My CD fail would be that I forgot a wetbag when we went to church, so I wrapped his diaper in a fleece blanket and stuck it in the diaper bag.
  • Those stay dry BB inserts sure do hold a lot. I was spraying off a poopy diaper, and wrang it out, getting water everywhere.
