Cloth Diapering

British fluff! PIP

DS's new daycare is having trouble with our CD. First they told us no problem. Then, they told us we must bring disposables. Finally, they agreed to let me drop him off in CD and to change him into CD at the end of the day, as long as they could use disposables in the middle of the day. I know, I know, it makes no sense. But that's the best I can get them to do right now.

So, then the snaps seem to be a challenge. They can't seem to figure out the snaps, even though I have pre-snapped them at the right place. I have only one Aplix OS diaper since converting everything else in my stash to snaps. Decided to stop by the neighborhood baby boutique to see if I could find something a bit more user-friendly for the daycare people, and found this cute little number. It's a Pop In. It's sort of an AIO/AI2, with bamboo terry inside. Aplix looks like good quality.

If they can figure this out, I may actually add a couple of insert snaps to my Aplix Thirsties covers, which I never use anymore. And then I can use the snap-in inserts that I'm planning on making with those!

  • Ah, I thought the tag said Poop In.  lol

  • But if they can figure out how to change him into cloth at the end of the day, why could they the rest of the changes?

  • They say it's not sanitary to store the wet and poopy diapers since he is part-time and shares a locker with another child. I mean, obviously when we're at home I wash them right away, right?

So apparently it's okay for them to store the first diaper of the day but they can't store the 2-3 more that he uses during the day.

No, it doesn't make sense. But for now I've pushed as much as I feel comfortable.
