I love this game, so I made up a mom's version! Feel free to copy and paste and then bold your answer, but if you have any explanations for your responses, please share!

1. Would you rather be on dirty diaper duty until your kid grows out of diapers, or clean the bathroom duty for the same amount of time?

2. Would you rather your child sleep 10 hours straight at night and then take no naps during the day, or wake up every two hours on the dot through the night but take hour-long naps every two hours during the day?

3. Would you rather spend a day locked in a room with your MIL or your most annoying coworker/acquaintance?

4. If your child (god forbid) was a young teen parent (say, high school age), would you rather it be your son or your daughter?

Paternal rights in my state are a joke, I wouldn't want the chance of not knowing my grandchild because the mother decided to run off, get an abortion, or cut my son out of her and her child's life.

5. Would you rather only be able to watch children's TV for the rest of your life, or watch no TV at all? Neither option would bother me too much, I guess. But if TV includes movies, then definitely children's TV. There are too many awesome movies I'm excited to introduce my kids to.

I could learn to like them, hopefully, and I can't imagine not seeing Caleb when he grows up. Plus... grandkids!

I think i'd want to get along with my daughter's husband and love them so much and feel like they are the best thing that ever happened to her even if it meant her living away. As I live away from my parents now, i have a sense of how it would be like.

Sleep 10 hours straight. I'm back at work so naps don't help me. I don't think I've slept more than a three hour stretch since DS was born

If its just me, annoying coworker, I could always tell her off and the consequences would be minor to none. If I were locked up with MIL she would probably say ugly, ugly things that I couldn't forgive.

Diaper duty - I'm already on it anyway, might as well get out of bathroom duty too.

10 hrs straight at night so that I can too.  I put her in the carrier during the day anyway so I can get stuff done.

Hmmm, I think my son just because girls are judged so harshly and don't ever get to be anything else but a "teen mom", but I feel like the boys get a pass on their reputation - isn't that awful!  How unfair - and I really hope I am never faced with this.

No tv at all.

Clothes.  We can grow food or shop for items on sale - but in style clothing is expensive.

A housekeeper to clean.  Then when I cooked, they would clean it up too.

Someone I like even if they were far away.  If they lived close and I didn't like who they were married to, I would never visit anyway, so what good would living close be?

Bonus: assuming we all respect our kids' freedom of choice - would you rather have your kids emulate your religious preferences or your political preferences? For me - political. But I'm not going to disown him if he disagrees with both my religion and his politics.

I'd rather he emulate my religious preferences. Though I feel strongly about my political beliefs, I fully understand that there is more than one right answer to certain problems. And I believe (not to get all coo coo bananas on your guys) your spirituality has more eternal repercussions. 

Would you rather die suddenly or be very sick for the last year of your life? 

Be sick. Yes, it would suck to suffer, but if I die suddenly, I don't get a chance to tell people how I feel about them and how much I love and appreciate them before I go. Plus, it gives my kids and family a chance to say goodbye and have closure. Also, there are some really cool stories about stuff dying parents have done for their kids/spouses to help them move on and bless their new life. I'd love the opportunity to do that.

Not trying to offend you. I'm just saying, the point isn't to get around the question ("if I don't like their spouse, it's for a good reason..."), it's to choose between two tough choices. The question said right in it that your child would be equally happy with either person.

Also, I think maybe my original question should've been "Would you rather have one child or four children?" because probably now that we all have kids, no one is going to say none. But the point is, some people really don't want big families. It wasn't supposed to be about infertility, it was about the CHOICE between having a small or large family. So calm your tits.

5. Children's tv. At least I'll be learning! 6. Food. Assuming that it would be healthy and well balanced. Picking out clothes is way easier than food.
7. Housekeeper! I love cooking. I never feel like I am done cleaning. I guess because you're not ever done. It's very unsatisfying to me
8. Someone I adore but far away. Two reasons: 1) technology, I could always FaceTime, Skype, hologram... whatever 2) vacations!!
9. Four kids. I always wanted 6 as a kid but that's just not an option for me now. I've come to my senses. I think we're going to have only 2 but I would be happy with 4.
10. Big yard. I like big kitchens but I would compromise for a beautiful, well manicured lawn. That magically scoops dog (and pig) poo for you!

Honestly, with the kid marrying someone question - I don't really know what I would rather.  Because it would be nice to have my girls close, but if I didn't like the person, it would not be a random "I hate you" thing.  It would be the "you're a deadbeat/you are abusive, there is a serious issue with you" kind of thing.  At least, I assume it would be.

So, no, I'm not trying to get around the question. I honestly don't have an answer for it.

As for the second one - yes, it is always going to be a hot-button issue to have a choice of "no kids" when there are IF'ers in the group.  Unless and until someone walks that path, you have no idea how hurtful it is to think of "no kids" as even being a choice in a question like that.  When month after month, year after year, you try to will two pink lines into existence, only to see one.  When everyone around you asks "when are you FINALLY going to have some kids?"  When everyone else is on their second or third kid in the time it's been since you've started trying for the first.  When you would cut off your right arm if it meant you could have just one kid, regardless of how small or large you'd always imagined your family to be.

Sorry, but IF causes scars - deep, painful, mental scars.  The very idea of choosing "no kids" seems like a real slap in the face to those of us who have spent years and thousands of dollars just for the chance to be pregnant.  To us, the question of "no kids or four kids" is as foolish as asking a cancer survivor "would you prefer to have cancer or to not have cancer."

I get that, and I'm not trying to be insensitive. I can't relate to fertility troubles but I understand how devastating it can be. I just think you're reading too much into the question. And like I said, when I wrote the question, what I meant to write (or should have written) was would you rather have ONE kid or four. It was mostly to see if those who were really set on a small family would rather not have kids than have a bunch. It really wasn't about giving back the kids you already had, or anything like that. I just feel like you're taking it really seriously and it's supposed to be a fun, silly little game. No one is saying you should choose not to have children.

Daughter...Kylee is the middle child but she is way more mature than Jacob and helps with Alexis. I really hope I don't have to deal with that though. In my opinion if i don't like someone there's a good reason. Typically I have very good intuition about people.

I don't really mind either, but I'll choose bathroom because DH is way better at changing diapers than he is at cleaning.

Dirty diaper duty for sure - Z loves diaper changing time, and has some of his cutest moments on the changing table, so I have come to love it as well...crazy I know lol!

I am super blessed that DS is sleeping 8+ hours straight a night now, I feel like a new woman.

I can't nap so those one hour breaks would not make up for very broken sleep at night.

Someone that I adore.  If he married someone I hated and lived down the street I would have to spend more time with someone I don't like. And if I didn't like her and it showed it would cause tension with my son, which would suck. I would miss him terribly if he lived far away, but if I love his wife I would be happy to have them come visit.  Plus, I couldn't imagine living that close to my parents.
