Getting close on names

Full disclosure: we like off beat names. We are Team Green and set on middle names. Francis for a boy ( we're Catholic and are fans of the new Pope) and Annabelle for a girl (MIL's name). We're pretty definite on our boy's name and about 85% on our girl's name and I want some feedback on how they sound with DS's name (in my siggy). I know the boy's name especially will not get a lot of love but I'm prepared for a lifetime of that. So here they are: Elwood Francis and Louisa Annabelle. Let me have it!

Can't see your siggy on mobile! Elwood....never heard this name before and not a fan right off - Elle Woods is the main character in Legally Blonde, that was my first thought! Love Louisa Annabelle!

Her son's name is Waylon and I think Elwood goes great with it. Not a big fan of Louisa but I love Annabelle!

I love Louisa soooooooooo much. Great name. To me it has the same feel as Sophia without the insane popularity. And maybe a little more vintage feeling.

Elwood does make me think of Elle Woods and I'm just not the biggest fan. Are there any other boy names your considering? Or are you pretty set on Elwood?

Interesting. Elle Woods never crossed my mind. But I'm a Chicago girl and I love the Blues Brothers. We are pretty set on Elwood. Nickname Woody doesn't bother me and I do realize it's out there for most people.

I was about to ask if you're a Blues Brothers fan. It's my husbands favorite movie so we used it....for our dog. Elwood Blues really suits our 10lbs of black fury that is our Chipoo but I don't think it's great name for a little boy. Can I offer up Jake instead? Also, there is this book.

I love Elwood, it's DS1's middle name after my grandfather.  Louisa is very pretty.

I think both names are lovely and adorable; granted I also enjoy offbeat names, so I may be biased.
