We had our 2nd ultrasound and it went great! The NT scan looked great just waiting on blood work!

The only thing that wasn't good was my blood pressure grrr I've never had an issue but when I get to the dr I like loose control. The dr said to get a home tester and start testing in the morning and start writing it down.

Anyways we find out the sex March 6th!!! Ill be 18 weeks :)

And all my blood work came back great. I had to take the 2 hour diabetes test and it was negative as well! I'm so happy!

Yay for a healthy baby!

Yay and congrats! Just curious - the 2 hour diabetes test, why did you have to take that? And just in general, why do people have to take that - is there something that shows up in initial bloodwork that prompts it? My doc hasn't said anything about it yet.

  • About the diabetes test my Dr does a one hour rapid test but if you fail that you have to do the three hour test.

Yay for a great appt! My blood pressure has also been high lately and hoping it's just from being anxious at the dr's but just odd for me as I never had an issue with b/p before. Let me know what kind you get for home!

Exactly what @tameraR4said. Normally it's done later but my dr had me do the test early for health reasons. I did the 2 hour test where you drink the drink and then you give blood a hour after and then wait another house and they take your blood again.. It wasn't as bad as I thought I brough my ipad and watched a movie while I waited.

Thanks! I've heard it's called White Coat syndrome! My mom actually had one and is letting me use it. She got it from CVS. It's basic and uses 4 AAA batteries, it does the job! I'm not sure how much it was. Hopefully we can both get our blood pressure under control.
