Tooth Bud

DS has a tooth bud on his bottom gum.  It's been there a couple days now, and hasn't receded at all like it had in the past.  How long does it typically take for it to cut through?  I'm a FTM and nervous as hell about the whole teething experience!

It can take a few days to break all the way through the surface of the gum.  Then a while to come all the way up.
