We got lucky (BFP)

Got a squinter yesterday and followed up with a FRER this morning and a ClearBlue digi this evening. I still can't believe it. This most definitely does not feel real yet, and I'm half expecting to wake up any minute now...

Cycle/month: 2/2

CD/DPO: 27/10

EDD: 10/13/14

What we did: We hit -5, -4, -2, and -1. I drank green tea, pomegranate juice during follicular phase, and cut way back on caffeine and alcohol. H has been taking multivitamins and trying to eat better too.

Symptoms: Mostly the same as usual pre-AF symptoms (sore boobs, skin break out, etc.), but at about 7 DPO, I started getting a ton of creamy CM which is very unusual for me during the luteal phase. I definitely don't "feel" any different.

How I told DH: After getting that squinter yesterday, I stopped at 7-11 and bought a lottery ticket with the estimated due date worked in to the number picks. I wrote on the ticket "We got lucky" and "Our baby's birthday is= 10-13-20-14." I put the ticket in my wallet in my purse and waited for the right time. After dinner tonight we were sitting on the couch watching TV, and I said, "Hey, I forgot...I got a lottery ticket yesterday."

H said, "Did we win?"

I said, "I don't know...it's in my wallet if you want to check it."

About 20 very long minutes later, he finally pulled the ticket out and looked at it. He was really confused.

"You already wrote all over it," he said.

"Did you read it?"

He just stared at it for about 5 minutes in disbelief. He kept looking at me, then back at the ticket. He thought I was holding out to test until this weekend, so I really caught him off guard. He finally got a big goofy grin and just kept saying "What the shit?" over and over again. There was a lot of hugging and crying after that, and I'm pretty sure he is still in shock.

Mush: Stumbling upon The Bump message boards last year was possibly the best thing I ever did. My first posts were asking silly questions like how to ward off baby fever and if I would be puking "every five minutes." I cringe reading that now. A whole lot of people told me to stay off TB, but I sure am glad I didn't listen. I started posting here more regularly last October, and since then I have learned so, so much from all of you ladies, including so many TTGP grads (hopefully some of you are lurking). I started charting last June and since then have learned so much about my body and its patterns. I want to thank you regulars for having me around (even before I officially started TTC) and answering my dumb questions. I am seriously going to miss checking in here every day and seeing what shenanigans you crazy ladies are up to. I have all my fingers crossed for you and hope you get your BFPs soon.
