Okay I was looking down at the top of Easton's head and you can see his soft spot. When I touch it (very gently) it's really deep. When do they close up? It REALLY creeps me out for some reason.
I've noticed my LO's feels more sunken when she's sitting up and I can barely feel it when she's lying down. It freaks me out too, to the point that I googled "sunken fontanelle" and looked at images to make sure hers didn't look abnormal. I do not recommend consulting Dr Google on this topic.

Haha I actually considered it before I posted here. Glad I didn't!
I got freaked out when I saw it pulsating as well and googled it. It's completely normal though. Also I read that the brain is covered by a thick fiberous tissue to protect it. That made me feel better because it creeped me out to think her brain was just under the skin.
